Introducing

Affan Baig, co-founder of Islamabad Running Club, his passion for fitness and building a community is undeniable. Hailing from the lively city of Islamabad, Affan excels in his career as a skilled procurement specialist. Apart from work and running, he embraces his role as a loving husband and dedicated father, cherishing every precious moment with his wife and son.

Sameena Khan, a Scrum Master, ASICS Front Runner and run coach, is co-founder of SWS Community(SWS). SWS strives to tackle inequalities in activity levels within the South Asian community in West Sussex, combat feelings of isolation, and address accessibility to getting outside and getting moving. Semeena is also the community lead for Muslim Runners. Her contributions have been recognised with the Sussex Sports Volunteer of the Year Award in 2021, and she was featured on the cover of Women’s Running magazine in December 2022

Talal Athar, an engineer turned product designer, is all geared up for his second international marathon post-Dubai’23. His training not only involves running but also focuses on visualization, zen and building mental resilience.
